Friends and I are planning an off-road trip to Sedona in late October. The 28-31st.

We are currently planning to hit Montezuma Castle, Schnebly Hill, Broken Arrow, and Outlaw trails.

Two questions for everyone...

1. Currently, I have a 2.5 inch lift, 33 inch tires and a cbi stealth front. I'm not concerned about any of these trails, with the exception of Broken Arrow. For those of you who have run it, do I have enough clearance? I have cbi skid plates on order, but don't think they will be here in time, so under body protection is stock.

2. Any additional trails we should consider? The other vehicle in our group is a 2nd gen Nissan Xterra with nothing but BFG. KO2s.

For reference, this is how my rig is set up currently

I did broken arrow (actually my wife drove the whole thing) with a 2.5" lift and 32's. I did have skid plates, but I think you'll be okay. CC would be helpful for the staircase descent there, but you'll slide in down without it. I did. Skid plates offer protection, but you also lose an inch of clearance as well.

@jakemccurdy on here also posted to his YouTube channel about taking his stock 460 on it.

Last time I was there a guy in an older stock quad cab silverado with a ladder rack on it did the whole trail. Its really easy, you'll be fine. Im not sure why everyone calls schnebly hill a trail, its just a dirt road. It will probably be rougher than normal, we have been getting a ton of rain.

Any suggestions for other trails/roads in the area?

Thanks for the response. Any other trails in the area we should try?

That's awesome that you're wife likes to drive!
My wife loves driving also. She has her 4x4 Taco with rear locker, but we enjoy each others company so much that we usually always just take my GX and then I wind up having to let her from some of the trails.
Although on the really scary stuff, like steep and narrow roads, I need to drive. She kind of freaks out on those.

Schnebly hill road is a good half day. Nothing technical and it's bumpy as hell but Merry Go Round rock is about the best place to have lunch and a beer in Sedona. I'll be there October 11th-15th for some family camping. What's your dates?

If you're on 33's with a 2.5" lift, you'll be fine on broken arrow. My stock suspension was pretty sagged out when I ran it for that video and I only scrapped on that football sized rock we forgot to clear off one of the ledges. I didn't have sliders and never touched the running boards. Trails change but that was only 18 months ago and Broken arrow is pretty much all rock.

(My lawyer just told me to mention that I have no idea if you can do it or should or whatever... : )

We'll be up there end of October. My last weekend of fun before I officially turn middle aged.

Sucks we won't be there at the same time, would have liked to meet up
