So has anyone out there with GX550 tried removing the second row seats? When tumbled forward, is it just a matter of a couple bolts to remove them, and if so how flat is the area once they are removed?

I don’t have one but I do have an LX 570 and it is probably very similar. In addition to the bolts, there will almost certainly be some wire that need to be disconnected. Also, you’ll probably need to remove some trim pieces to get to the bolts and wires.
I thought I read that you’ll get some kind of warning light or beeping sound?
You get an SRS light warning signifying something is amiss with the airbag system in the 200 series but apparently, that is not the case in the 250 based on one person’s account.
There are no airbags in the second row seats in the 250, so no SRS warning light issues.
