craigslist Seattle, WA: 1994 - FZJ80 310,000 miles

I've been a lurker here for a while and just now have the chance to buy a Land Cruiser. I found this Land Cruiser from Craigslist and in addition to sharing with all of you, I was also hoping to get some pointers as a first time shopper.

The engine has a small ticking noise. Owner claims is lilely a misaligned valve. There's also a loose hose on top of the engine causing a hissing noise that appears to be an easy fix. I took a few additional pics and was wondering if there's any detrimental signs. He's asking for $3,000 OBO. Thinking it can be negotiated down.

Very nice find. The front axle is what you want to research. It needs a rebuilt every 100k miles. Does it have locking axles?

It apparently does not have any locking differentials. I'll see what I can find out about the front axle. I could maybe get under the truck and take a look

I think you could get it for less...I'd start low. That truck has been for sale for awhile
