Hello all,
Long story short: I have two brothers. One of my brothers and I have 80 series land cruisers. The other brother does not have one. He does not have the cash for one. Sooo....... I bought him a rig and have been working on it for a couple of months to get it all jazzy for him. My brothers are people I greatly admire and draw power from. Spending time together is my priority. What could be better than having sweet rigs to flex on the peasants with? haha.
It is a 1993 X3 locked cruiser and it is/was a needy rig. SUPER NEEDY RIG. I have been baselining this rig for him so I can give it to him for Christmas. My deadline is coming soon amigos! I have done a ton in/on/under this rig to make it reliable. I am not sure who owned this sucker before but I would wager to say their priority was not taking care of it. Needless to say, I have learned a lot of things I had not encountered with my 1997. Knock sensor wiring missing, power steering leaks, fuel fill hatch not working, LEAKS..... It leaked like had been shot by a missile or two.
Here is the reason for this post: When I bought this rig the interior was loose inside of the vehicle. The only thing bolted down was the driver seat and center console. I trucked it home and got to cleaning this beast. After removing the entire interior I washed, steamed, scrubbed, blah blah everything in there below the headliner. I found that the rods under the second row seats are missing!!
I searched and found the part numbers but apparently they are not available any longer? I am reaching out to see if anyone has any of these little bars? They go from the front most seat hinge to the latch at the rear of the seat which grips the little bar bolted to the floor of the rig.
Lemme know if you have some of these or know where to find them please.
