Sea Foam summary for the engine and transmission additives.

I tried the transmission additive about 2000 miles ago and didn't see any improvement. FWIT I have changed the tranny fluid 4 times in 12,000 before I added the Sea Foam thou.

Right before I added the engine Sea Foam I changed from stock OEM tires to 305/70/16 and noticed a big change in climbing hills at highway speeds. I’m downshifting more than usual.

After running Sea Foam for 1500 miles I noticed that my speedo didn't reduce going up some hills that previously it did. Also most of the sewing machine ticking has been muffled down somewhat.

Conclusion:

I feel that the engine additive didn't make any real noticeable power improvement (the can never said that it would) other that getting me over the hills that the transmission would normally downshift on. I like the engine additive, and I wasn’t expecting too much, but I willing to use it again for $4.62.

Did you add it to the oil, or gas, or just pull it in with a vacuum line?

Just added it to the oil.

I went in this direction after looking at thr TB and engine oil filler crud.

Seafoam.................now that would be a cool color to paint an 80. :flipoff2:

Yes...very :princess:

I just ran a can of Seafoam in my '88 Strange Rover...I wasn't expecting too much, but after Crase insisted I run it, I gave it a whirl....added the can to 1/2 tank of gas. WIthin 100 miles There was a difference my wife even noticed. I'm guessing it was more the fact that my rig had about 180k on the engine and had likely never had a similar treatment.

We have a few cans now slated for the 55's.

If you have a carb vehicle (like a chevy350) you dump some in the carb and kill the motor. Let is sit a while and.
Make sure the neighbors don't call the fire department as you WILL fill the neighborhood up with black smoke :D
