G’Day fellow mud members. I‘ve recently purchased a 1962 Column Shift FJ40 with less than 30xxx miles on the clock. The vehicle has come with its original SD40 Carburettor. CAD plating is in excellent condition and the painted base has me asking questions. It appears to have what I think is the original ‘Blue’ paint. Can anyone confirm this?

Well, I have one and the base is black. But, I had it rebuilt and not sure of original color.

I see blue and green on yours - mine was green and did not appear to be repainted

I have an SD40 with a blue base as well. Per @FJ40Jim it is original. DO NOT LET IT SIT IN CARB CLEANER or it will remove the paint. Same thing goes for the aisin plate.
