I am tired of having a mess in the corner of my shop. Any ideas on how to organize metal scraps/ sticks? The only thing I like to keep separate is stainless steel. I don't use aluminum much, so no need at this time for extra division.

I have vertical space with 10 foot ceilings, but not much horizontal space. Thinking a rack like this for the longer sticks.

If I can find some scrap 4" tube, I might make something like this for smaller stuff, but box them together to use all the space. Although for shorter than 2' pieces, I am thinking to put them on shelves.

The seems quite disorganized, but would give space for medium size pieces.

Finally, I like the idea of milk crates for the random metal pieces I have with no home.

I like the last option, with crates on bottom, space for long pieces in back, and shelving for flat pieces. On wheels, could probably build a few of those and tuck them in next to each other back in the corner. Especially if it had similar arms (like in the first pic) to keep the long pieces in place.

I was telling Rach today that I need to free up some time and be available to help with projects soon. Let me know when a good clean up (or little projects) needs to happen, and I'm in.

I am just a hoarder.... which step is it when you can admit your problem????

I keep waayyyyy too much stuff, then force myself to organize everything and toss 10% of it.
