Okay...did BostonBean not make it to Charleston...did he get to NC and think he was in SC? Did he eat at BBQBoys and get food poisoning...or did he drive down Spruill and find some other new friends to hang out with. LOL

I might text his yankee ass in morning and see if he wants to do lunch somewhere....any body else interested in teasing and making a Yankee cry during lunch?

I'm up for it if you find him. Call me

No he is in jail. he cam in acting like a prick and I had the law called on him.

talked to him...they have already left Charleston but loved it....stayed downtown...like Mt Pleasant and thought the James Island Light Show was fantastic. Said he will post some comments when he gets home.

Holy hell you s***birds are sensitive! You sound like the girl who never gets a phone call the next day after a good night's shagging.

Just got back from the trip last night. Been trying to get my work crap together today but figured I'd follow up.

First off I would like to thank BBQ Boy for the blowie. Well done and that removable teeth trick felt great!

Charleston was great. Booked a hotel on Hotels.com that looked great with excellent reviews for only $69. It was in North Charleston. What a s***hole. I walked in and walked right back out. I lost my $69 by not staying there (non-refundable interweb stuff) but not having to hear my wife bitchin about a dumpy hotel was worth the wasted $$$. Drove downtown. Stayed a a hotel on a park near the Museum Mile. Think it was the Holiday inn. Very nice hotel. Walked around everywhere and loved all the old houses. realized I could never afford any of said houses but they were amazing just the same.

Ate at the Buccaneer (have a 3 year old kid in tow) and also Jestines. jestines was fantastic and all of you should be ashamed if you've never been there. Good homestyle cookin with zero attitude.

Took the kid to the Aquarium and the Childrens Museum. Aquarium was ok. Childrens Museum was great and endlessly entertained a cranky 3 year old.

Mt Pleasant was really nice and I liked all the smaller antique houses there plus close to some great beaches. We drove to every single little tiny section of Charleston and surrounding Islands till I couldn't take it anymore and went back to the hotel. Beautiful area.

The Christmas light thing on James Island was the highlight of the entire 10 day trip. Train rides, merry-go-rounds, Santa, it had everything. Finally got me into the Xmas spirit a little. My son was bewildered and giddy. Always great to see his little face light up about the simplest things. Very well done and very glad I didn't miss it!

Wifey had a bunch of phone interviews while on the road but they are all for jobs here in MA. One she is really excited about is a fashion company. Likely we're not moving anywhere outside of MA anytime soon. Not too many jobs for her expertise in Charleston so our options are very limited.

We're thinking of coming back down in the summer and bringing the 55 for a week. Feels like we barely scratched the surface for SC and we wanna get back to see more.

Only major mishap on the trip (aside from a bout with raging diarrhea where I lost 7 lbs) happened on I-75 heading from Savannah to Atlanta. There was a 2'X2' piece of thick, flat metal (not sheet metal) that was in the road. A pickup truck in front of me ran it over and kicked it up straight at my head. I ducked and didn't have time to even say "Oh s***!" It was coming straight at the windshield but the airflow off the front of the XTerra must have just pushed it aside enough not to kill me. It shattered the drivers side mirror and dented/scraped down the side of the car. Of course I didn't take the insurance on the rental. Dropped it off and the check-in person noticed it and wrote "broken mirror" on the winshield. Then she told me to have a nice day and walked away. Either I got away with it or I'll have a huge credit card bill coming next month. Gonna wait and see...Either way I feel like I should be dead so any bill will be a bit less painful.

Thanks again for all the recommendations. You guys were a huge help and are obviously well versed in ball-busting. I salute you all.

Glad you enjoyed your stay...Come back any time and look us up.

Glad y'all didn't get hurt on the interstate but even more excited that y'all are staying where you are for a while. Come visit but do not reside.

Damn yankees

Pfftt. This business was founded by southerners and made successful by southerners. Since the Yankee migration these past years I get nothing but Yankees walking through the doors offending everyone including me. I have told many of them to get the hell out and go back up North.

Well said!!! Thtas why all of us natives love and support "gobacktoohio.com"!!!!!!! Keep the south southern!!!

LOL....difference between yankee and damn yankee is the damn yankess wont go home!?!
