Do you know the build date? The parts diagram shows 10/85+ being an 80A alternator, with the earlier versions being 40A or 50A.

I’m assuming it’s 55A. The pn is 27030-68110 which doesn’t come up as a pn at all! It should be 27020-68120, which is a 55A unit. The vin number is 1393, so it was one of the first to roll off the line in 85 and they modified as they went along.
