This is going to kill me. But the jeep is up for Trade. I need something that can be driven to the trails. The Jeep just is too low geared and not a great candidate for hours of on road driving.
I am looking to Trade for Equally Built 4runner with solid front axle, Land Cruiser or Jeep TJ. I need something to haul my family. Or possibly a stock flatfender.
My jeep is a 1963 CJ5 with a Clear Title. It can drive on the street fine and is legal at least in Florida and South Carolina.
ENGINE
4.1L Buick V6
Edelbrock 500 CFM 4bbl carb.
Edelbrock Aluminum Intake.
Later model GM truck alternator.
Power Steering.
Motor has about 20K miles if that. Trail driven mainly.
Aluminum radiator, dual electric fans.
TRANSMISSION & TRANSFERCASE
T18 granny gear 4speed transmission. Rebuilt.
Dana 18 tcase. Rebuilt 4 years ago.
Hydrolic clutch.
Tom Woods Rear CV driveshaft.
AXLES
Wagoneer Dana 44 front axle. 5.38 gears (regeared and rebuilt about 2 years ago) Disc front brakes.
Wagoneer Dana 44 rear axle. 5.38 gears. (regeared and rebuilt about 2 years ago) Detroit EZ-locker. Drum rear brakes.
SUSPENSION
SOA suspension with 1.5 lift Rubicon Express YJ springs.
Front springs have been outboarded to accomodate the wider axles.
Adjustable Rancho shocks.
TIRES & WHEELS
36x12.50 Swampers.
15x8 wagon wheels.
OTHERS
Brand new front seats, rear seat has been recovered.
Tuffy locking console
WARN 8000lb winch (Bellview)
Shoulder belts front and rear.
Also have a spare frame, new hood and enough paint to redo jeep if wanted.
THE BAD
Leaks oil and some power steering fluid.
Trail dents and scratches.
Wanders a little on the road.
Gas gauge doesnt work.
Roll cage should be redone.
Tire carrier needs to have spindle put on for a spare, i never got to doing it and have spare hub and spindle for a spinning spare tire setup.
Little cosmetic work here and there and there is a crack on the firewall that i just havent given the time to fix, but it doesnt affect usage.
I WILL NOT PART ANY OF THE JEEP OUT.
I have had the jeep for about 11 years. This is my baby. Not one thing on it hasnt been gone through. I would gauge it being worth about $4K-$5K. The jeep needs to be used, it is built for it, but it sits.
I would like to trade for Toyota 4runner, toyota land cruiser or Jeep TJ, or possibly a stock flatfender that is in great shape..
I will not sell the jeep, I need to trade, jsut because of what i put into it, and if i sell it, i know i will spend the money and not have a rig to trail with.
The jeep can be driven but would need to be trailered just because it isnt a good highway runner. I have no tow rig anymore to trailer the jeep.
