Hi All:

Saturday was such a nice spring day here in western Washington State (temperatures in the 70F range!) that "Torsling" and I went 'wheel for the day at an area in Snohomish County called "Reiter Pit," which is near the Isabel Trail.

Here are some photos from the day. Enjoy!

Starting out with a poseur shot of my rig on a boulder. You can see Josie, my dog in the back. She loves to come along in the FJ40!

Here is a pic of Tor's rig on the same boulder.

Thetrails did not look like much but were actually quite slippery - the dirt was dry on the surface but slimy mud underneath, packing-up the BFG M/Ts we were both running pretty well.

Here are a couple pics of my rig, stuck on a tree root. Not enough ground clearance with 33X12.5R15 tires. I was able to back-up off the obstacle and take a bypass around it.

While taking a break on the hillside we saw a pair of built Toyota mini-trucks coming up another, close by trail. They were on a very steep hillclimb to reach the junction with the trail we were on.

The second mini got sideways while trying to climb the incline, and rolled. But, he did not seem to care much, and his buddy winched the rig back over.

Those are some nice shots, looks like you guys had some fun. It's about time the sun started shining here in Washington!

Yes, yesterday was a beautiful day all around. Today isn't too bad either. Looks like you guys had fun!

Hi All:

Yeah, great day to be out in the woods! Too bad the rest of the gang was not available.

Regards,

Alan

Good pics, Alan !!

Nice!

I'm hitting Rausch Creek with the PA boys this Saturday.

Can't wait!

X2 :)
Alan,
thanks for the motivating pics...:D
do you see 35"s on the horizon?

Damn that looks like fun! Can't wait until my rig is trail ready.

Hi All:

Thanks for the compliments guys!

This was my first 'wheeling of the 2008 season. I'm really looking forward to some multi-day camping/wheeling trips in the high country of the east-side of the Cascade Range later this summer.

35s? Maybe. More likely to switch to Super Swampers from the BFGs, maybe even bias-ply! :grinpimp:

Regards,

Alan
