I hope you are shopping for her--you should convince her that she needs an 80. Lisa, Rhea, and Land Shark's better half could probably discuss with her, if necessary.:D

As far as breakfast this Saturday, sorry I am already committed to helping a friend with some concrete!

all of my junk is good for her, specifically what is not in that list!

She wants a Hyundai Elantra. Sorry to say that in this case Toyota is lacking...

Was forced to rent one of those. Ok car (for a rental) thought it got bad gas milage. Had to fill it up every 4 hours going 70mph.
I can't make it have to work.

really? the new ones are supposed to get 40mpg highway?
they redesigned the model in 2011 and are supposed to be awesome, when compared to the jap or american equivalent.

This one was turning 3000 at 75mph it may be the difrence of 4 and 6 cylinder to. Do athorow test drive and the gauge will drop quick. But also i am use to a 25-30 gall tank to and this was only 10 gal If it's the same as the one I hade it only had 6000 miles on it so I would think it was a 2011.

Good luck

well thats a bummer. I just looked around the interwebs a bit more and see that the fuel economy drops significantly when you get above 60mph. seems to be that driving style has a lot to say for the measurable performance of the vehicle as well. people's reported mpg is anywhere between 30 and 44 highway.

That conversation will come later. right after i fix the old sentra, sell it, and pocket a grand to throw at the possibility of an 80. Realistically though, i hear 80's are too damn expensive to fix. I'd rather have a used FJC.

ha, four cars for my personal inventory is ENOUGH! not to mention the soon to be fifth.

I remember when I first started driving Toyotas my insurance went up significantly. I think they are all expensive to fix. But would not have it any other way. :D

I think that has mostly to do with how much they're stolen too!

btw, there is an elantra in the driveway

yup. well, she did anyway. I just helped out on the buying process. Its pretty nice.

and now i own a 2001 nissan sentra by default, that needs the head gasket replaced. add that on to my automotive to-do list.
