Does anyone know of any sources/solutions for satin or semi-gloss paints out there? I am about to paint the tub on the 40 and like the benefits of non-gloss paint like what is being offered on the TLC Icon. Also, the Rustoleum satin finish paints are great for touch-ups and blending once scratched and a paint like this would be handy on a trail truck.

Thanks for any thoughts or product leads.

Randy

I have a buddy which is using an industrial rustolum. Sprayed the body armor and the with it and just painted the tub yesterday. Seems to hold up pretty good. Only down side is limited in color selection.

You used to be able to add a flattening agent to any acrylic enamel.........talk to anyone selling automotive paints. I did O.D all the time, UPS brown flat, and a dark maroon flat that was just about invisible at night. Don't know about the new paint systems though.

I would also look at Rustoleum, get a gallon can, there are instructions on there on how to spray it. I sprayed my sliders with satin black with my HVLP gun before I installed them, came out great, and like you say I can easily touch them up. Which I need to do now.

Just be sure to get a color that they also make in spray cans.

Thanks Ken.

I want to keep the 40 in oem beige, so I need to find a paint that can be custom mixed. I wonder if Home Depot can blend Rustoleum paints.

Actually I think there is a Rusolem that they can mix. I saw it at Home Depot or Lowes
