One other bit worth mentioning would be that you will be "on call" (not required to respond) but expect calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Welcome aboard :grinpimp:

Yup.

And we are working on a lot of club stuff. Im hesitant to post the full meeting notes on the public forum, so bare with us while we work on some site stuff.

I like all the requirements. Are we going to require that you take a CPR, Basic First Aid/First Responder class. Just thinking out loud.

Very good call Josh!

I personally would love to know a rescue team would have that experience/training.

Another "outloud" thought would be the ones on the team being able to communicate with the person in need and evalute the situation and if medical attention is needed. Maybe to detailed? but....

Now that we have the member forum I think we can reall address some of these ideas. I don't know about requiring CPR and first responder training required but definately a bonus. I do think that two way's might be a good addition to the recovery bag, I know they would have come in handy with recovering "boomer".

lol, wasnt sure you were ever going to post it!

I'm not the secretary anymore, remember? :D

We do need to put out something for those who weren't there. Do you wanna do it, or want me to?

I am very interested in being a part of the SAR group. I worked SAR in Siskiyou county, on Shasta, and was involved in our local CERT team.

I don't think I will be able to afford a winch for a while. First aid and CPR are covered and have been through a wilderness medecine course. Of course I can also cover rivers.
