Hi Everyone,

My family and I are headed to Ouray in July and we want to spend a day in Santa Fe. What are some things to do, shopping, scenery, ect, and where are some good places to stay?

Thank you for the advice.

Look up the Eldorado to stay at and the "Bullpen" I think that's right, to eat at.
There is nothing like being on the plaza on a nice night. There are hundreds of good places to stay and eat.

depends what your looking to pay. downtown, la posada, anasazi, la fonda, the eldorado( $$$- $$$$) . As far as food goes Coyote cafe or Geronimo on canyon rd. ($$$$) for great New mexican/ 100 dfferent margaritas go to Marias on cordova not a tourist trap($$). Drive up hyde park rd, its the road up to the ski basin, get a private hot tub at 10, 000 waves japanese spa 8 miles up rd on left( to score points with wifey) $$.

You're bringing your 80 with the v8 right? :-)

We'll be heading to Ouray on July 25th through 29th for our annual trip. Hope to be able to meet up with you. Drop me a line if you're swinging through ABQ on I-40.

The restaurant is called "The Bullring" (150 Washington Ave) and serves some of the best beef in the state. It is quite spendy, but worth it. My family usually goes once a year or so. $50 each is not too unrealistic, especially when the margaritas add up... Enjoy!

Yep, driving the 80. That would be cool to meet up.

How about Gabriel's a couple miles north of Santa Fe? Good New Mexican food with reasonable prices.

Send me an email and we'll set something up.

x2 on Geronimo and Bullring.
Geronimo very pricey but really good.
Pranzos by the Railyard very good.

Any hotel recommendations for lodging within walking distance of old downtown?
