I've used this vann-guard 70-100 equalizer for 4 years on my 24v cruiser, allowing to center tap one of the batteries for a 12v source. Center tapping is usually a no no, since it will discharge one of the batteries unevenly, but this device prevents that from happening by keeping both batteries equal at all times. I checked voltage of both batteries often, they were always even. It is capable of outputting 100amps of 12v.

I went a different route and no longer need this, they are pricey, I got my used out of it, offering it up for $250 plus the ride.
