craigslist San Diego- not mine- looks like a sweet deal.

did not try, too many vehicles in the fleet already. I've got a cj7 to to let go, but it does not stop me from stalking craigslist for new toys, it's a sickness.

This person reposted the vehicle on CL but I had an almost impossible time getting a response. Also this person flaked on an appointment to see the vehicle. Not a good communicator. I was there at the location waiting. A location they provided. No show.

Good luck. I don't think it's a serious try to sell the vehicle.

This guy refuses to answer questions or respond. Another obvious shady seller. Too bad.

Yeah, I delayed a flight to stay and check out the vehicle after we both agreed upon a time, date and location to meet. I arrived early at a common location this person chose and he no-showed. After which he refused to answer his cell phone or respond to any of his texts. Oh, and my wife was with me to help drive the car away if the purchase went through.

Now totally sorry I posted the link to this dudes CL ad. Good intentions with bad outcomes strikes again. Sorry folks.
It's helpful either way. Identifying the s*** heels as well as the saints is a good thing.

BUYER BEWARE!

VIN: JT6HT00W4Y0118649.

Red flags:
  • seat leather has been changed both up front and in the back (suspicious for this supposedly low mileage)
  • there's actually no nav screen (contradicting the CL posting photos)
  • steering wheel is cracked and worn like a 200k+ mile vehicle, covered by a leather wrap (again contradicting the CL posting photos)
  • 77k miles, not 72k
  • front bumper doesn't align with the body
  • owner states that it's been in CA it's whole life, but a Google search shows the vehicle with Oklahoma plates at a dealer
  • Lexus portal last shows 152620 MILES DATE: 10/01/2012
Seller had a CarFax printout with what looked like a legitimate service history. I didn't bother to run a CarFax on it considering all of the above, was probably a photoshopped CarFax printout. Definitely felt like a vehicle with 250k+ miles on it, safe to assume it's well beyond that given its sketchy history.

Great info thank you. I think it’s the same guy there’s two of them in San Diego. I also noticed that he stole the description from another vehicle located somewhere else in the country. This guy is a real POS

Nice work exposing the fraud.
