Weights are pretty close. I prefer the tailgate as do all the people that go to college football games with me. Tailgate drops And everyone wants to sit down and hang out.

The GX is a light duty LC. The 100 and 200 are heavy duty LCs. Check the dimensions and weight differences. The GX470 was like 700 lbs lighter than a 100. In the USA would it probably ever matter, probably not. If you want the most durable, that would be a 100 or 200. If you want really close with better mpg's then get the GX.

I have had my GX 460 since Oct of 2010 and love almost everything about it. The 3rd row is really not that bad for the size. I often take guy trips for 1.5 hours to casino with 6 grown men. Since the middle row slides forward you can gain a few inches in the rear. Don't think those guys in the 3rd row would have wanted to go more than a few hours but it kept us from using two vehicles. I was tempted to get 4runner for the money but it was not all I wanted. I wanted - V8, 3rd row, tow power, cooled seats, back up cam, ability to go off pavement. 4runner was only part of my wants. The rear door takes getting use to. I am okay with it but there are many times I wish it was like the LC. If you are comparing the GX 460 with the 470 the best upgrades are the 3rd row seats now fold flat in floor, better connectivity with radio and phone, back window will actually open on its own, rear leg room is greater in 460 as well. I am also thinking about adding a LC 200 as a work vehicle since the wife is always taking the keys to the GX. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
