Safety Inspection Meeting

Trail Crew Members:

I have volunteered to put together a safety inspection for our club. In the past, it's my understanding that we have had a lack of participation for various reasons. I would like to get some feedback from our members to put together an organized safety inspection.

Here's what I'd like to see with help from membership:

1. Vehicle safety inspection
2. First aid/CPR class
3. Basic trail repairs
4. Basic winching tecniques
5. Raffle

What are your thoughts? What about having it on a Saturday at a central wheeling area such as Rower Flats, Big Bear, desert, or substitute only a safety inspection on a monthly Tuesday meeting? We need full participation from all club members and prospective members to make this a success. This is your club and your thoughts and ideas are valued and encouraged. It would be cool to get a club photo of all our vehicles and membership.

Mark, taking initiative. I like it. As far as the CPR/1stAid. You could contact some of the organizations that do the certifying. I know that they can do a group cert. if you make the arrangements.

Cool, I was actually just looking at class schedules for CPR because I have to get that done before I start my new job.

Whats the min class size will your friends do a class for? If we can get enough people, I would like to do something the during first couple of weeks of March before I leave for the new job.

Here's the scoop...

I need to know how many people are interested in a adult CPR and first aid class. Open to invite your wife(s), girlfriend(s), kids, or friends. This will likely be a (4) hr class on a Saturday in March. Most likely to be held in Monrovia or the Pasadena area. I need atleast (15) people before they will do it. Who's in?

As far as the safety inspection, does the middle of March work for Hungry Valley?

For the CPR cert. you can count Brian, George and I. I have 1 other friend who may go depending on the weekend. So theres 4.

Not yet. We still don't have 15 people to hold a class. If you need a class Ron before you start your new job, let me know and I can point you in the right direction.
