Safari Diesel POWER System
This page lists the high speed 5th gear for 2007 and on 70 series. these have the 1vd turbo v8 diesel, and h151 box. Possibly an error, but that would make it compatable with all h150/h151 boxes.

Ran into this.
Does anyone know if this compatible with the H55f or is it for the R151?

they will do another run of 50 if I can get people to commit. This may be hard but even though I am a newbie here and I am still building my trust level with you guys, I am willing to give it a shot. I am willing to run the finances but they want 50% up front before starting production. Once they receive the deposit it will be approximately 8wks ex. works Melbourne. The MSRP is $1595 AUD. Of course I will not be paying the full retail so I am willing to give my fellow mudders a 20% discount that would be $1275 AUD each plus shipping to your location. I will try and negotiate to have Safari ship them direct to each person but these are still details down the road to work out. First I need to determine the level of interest before going ahead with this endeavour. One final note from Safari "...Toyota made a change to the R151F transmission at some stage in 2011 on the Wide-Nose HZJ70 Landcruisers, which was incompatible with our 5th gear set. We could not pinpoint which countries/regions this effected, or exactly when the change came into effect." You can check out ToyoDIY for compatibility.

I'd be in if it was a H55F

Same here.
Anyone Know any Japanese gear cutters familiar with the 5th gear assembly of the H55F?
You guys could try my "plan B" if I don't get enough interest here. I used to work in machine shops and making the gears is not that hard, just have to use good material and use a reputable heat treating place. Find an old h55f tranny, find the 5th gear set and measure the clearance both while engaged and disengaged to determine how much room there will be for the bigger gears. Pull the 5th gear pair and take them to the shop and ask them how much bigger they could make them, giving them the clearance available. Have them give you a quote for 1-off, 10 sets, or more and see how many mudders want them. Best to find a shop that does custom work. I could recommend one in Kitchener, Ontario... there are several in the area that are quite capable.Same goes for me if u had a taller 5th for the h55f I would be all over that
