Safari snorkel template

Does anyone have an extra template and possibly install instructions for a safari snorkel on a bj73...or have suggestions on making a template. Alberto has been extremely kind and has been storing his old snorkel and airbox from his build and is helping me out. I don't have it yet so not sure if I can just use cardboard and trace my own, or need something more in depth for a template.

Most guys just do a rough estimate and start drilling.
A few beers will help calm your nerves but it is still prudent to have a tube of caulk handy.
