Looking to hear from those that can talk about the air flow characters of both.

Ive just put a high flowing turbo and air box on my 1HD-FTE, now looking for a suitable snorkel that can flow a decent amount of air.

Anyone have an opinion?

I've put the safari armax snorkel on my 100, it's a huge hole with massive amounts of airflow. Safari also flow test all their snorkels to make sure the design makes for the maximum airflow which is cool. You'd have to custom make a pipe from the snorkel if it's not a factory box though. You can download the safari instructions online to have a look how it goes, massive hole cut out in the airbox compared to standard.

Whose airbox do you run? I'm a fan of the Armax over stainless snorkels for water separating characteristics (I may be biased because we sell them) but if you've got an aftermarket airbox, might be easier to connect the stainless snorkel. I can recommend Moonlight Fabrication if you're looking for a staino one.

Thank mate, looking at the 4" fabricated snorkel which does require a chunk cut out of the 1/4 panel, that does make me nervous. Measure twice, cut once. They do seal pretty well I'm told. Have a PDI air box. Moonlight, jmax and I think the bloke at the corner shop sells them as well. How does the airmax flow, are there many sharp corners?

The armax flows well, massive square inlet into the stock airbox but there might be a bit of screwing around to work the the PDI airbox because the armax would be designed to connect to a round airbox
