We have owned this girl for 265k miles, no other vehicle in the history of history has driven through the Chick-fil-A drive thru more than our old Blue girl! She has been nothing but incredible and in the end kept my family safe and sounds when a young driver pulled out right in front of me. Its only been a couple days so don’t really know how the insurance thing will play out but as an 02 with 287k miles, I’m not optimistic for her. Anyway thanks for letting me express my sorrow, I felt many here would understand my pain!!!

As others have said, fight the insurance company. Don't sign anything until you're happy with the offer. They'll use KBB and tell you it's only worth something like $6K or something silly like that. They might try to act like your friend that's helping you out. They're not you're friend, and they're incentivized to get you to settle for the lowest offer. If you have a backup vehicle or someone, drive that for a while. The longer you draw it out, the better you'll come out on this.

Yeah I’m ready for the fight, she was in excellent condition with lots of recent maintenance. KBB median trade-in value is showing $9200, with a range from $7200-$11,200

I don't think they'll care at all about the maintenance history, but the condition will help.

Keep in mind, they may not even total it. If they don't, I'd recommend going with your repair shop rather than theirs. Again, they want to save money, so they might be incentivized to cut corners. Cheap replacement parts and paint might come back to bite you later.

I hear you on all points, and am ready for the attempted screw job!
My carrier said I should be prepared to provide all recent maintenance and upgrades to the at fault party’s carrier and that it would definitely help my valuation. Between the Toyos, new front calipers and pads, valve cover gasket job, new break lines etc I’ve got a few $’s in receipts

Man, sorry this happened! I feel for you! I am going to follow this thread to see how this turns out. Hopefully they don't try and screw you on the value too much. In my experience, it's been my insurance that tried to get me to settle for a lesser amount. When it was someone else's insurance we didn't have to haggle and they gave us quite a bit.

That looks very fixable, didn't even wrinkle the hood. I'm guessing it popped a ball joint causing the wheel to offset like that, but I would definitely repair it. IMO, it's purely cosmetic damage.

Try and keep your cool with their insurance company but call every other day for an update. I've been dealing with this for almost 2 months. Get a few aerial and street view images from google and have those ready to present so you can clearly show what happened.
