Life's always changing... I might have to give up the LC for a more practical and affordable pickup truck.

I can't seem to find any values for trade-in or private party sale of a "used 2014."

In Kentucky, we receive tax-adjustment for trading in. If I buy a new pickup for say, $50,000, then my tax would be about 5.5% of sticker (or $2,750). By trading in a car of higher value (say $70,000 for the sake of argument), I wouldn't owe this tax. In this scenario, unless I could get more than $72,750 for the LC, I'd be in a better position to do a trade-in.

Any idea what the private party price or the (fair) trade-in price would be? I realize dealers jumble the numbers with sale price vs. trade-in all the time.

Specs:
2014, Blizzard Pearl, tan interior
Add (from Toyota): Remote start, VIP glass breakage, cargo net, rubber & carpet mats (including cargo), cargo net, bug shield
Mileage=just under 4000.
(Garage kept, no pets, no smoking, and no kids--everything is still as new.)

May not be much help, but my friends GMC dealership in Bryant AR has a 2014 listed for $74,500.

Black on black. 8k miles.

Oxmoor Toyota (in Louisville, KY) may give you a reasonable offer. I take mine there for oil changes and they call me every time i leave wanting me to sell it to them. worth a call

I'm wondering if you wouldn't be better off to keep it another 10,000 miles as the value won't drop much.

What you spend in gas would be less than what you will lose in depreciation of a 2014 truck with 3500 miles.

All great info. Edmunds seems to have posted trade-in and private party value now too--that wasn't the case just a week or so ago when I looked.

Trade $67,849
Private Party $70,802
Retail$73,254

Mine also has a transferable Toyota extended warranty (8year/100K, I think) that's not factored in that price--that could add another small chunk of value.

I think you're right on driving it another 10K miles. I'll try to keep it as long as I can hold out for that reason. The miles are basically free for a while from a depreciation standpoint.

Is there someone (or some department) specifically at Oxmoor you've spoken with? I doubt they communicate across the dealership.

This was my experience today with my local GMC dealer over the phone (who I wish I loved--they are so close)... (and don't hate me 'cause I hate a Tundra.. the 5.7L is great, but it is so uncomfortable for me.)

Trade-in offer (unseen): $58K-$60K (+toyota warranty pro-rated refund on warranty)
Purchase offer (Sierra Denali 6.6L Diesel, $63,180 (MSRP $64,xxx))

Of course I walked (or rather hung-up) on that.

Sorry to say i don't have a specific department to suggest / direct you to speak with at Oxmoor. However if you call in and explain what your thinking about I'm sure they'd be all over it and get you touch with the correct person. agin it's an option not the only but worth exploring.
thanks and good luck
