maybe im just incredibly dense or something...but what is the use of that thing? it covers the windows and provides some overhang for the rear tailgate? or is it that it expands the usable inside space by being able to enclose the tailgate? surely you still have to have the rear seat folded down? hell im 6'1" tall and i sleep comfortable inside my 60 with the tailgate up and the rear seat folded down. i dont really see any advantage to the tent thing except the tailgate extension part and maybe covering the windows...but im not sure the utility of covering the windows when window tint would seem to do as well.

and a satellite dish on a tree? man have you no shame???

That's exactly how I felt, so I could not justify spending over $400.00 for it. I guess there is the "cool" factor

This one is a bit on the simple side but inexpensive compared to some of your other choices.

Thanks Bridges... I have seen some simliar to this at Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop, the construction seemed a little scary - one wrong snag seemed like it would cause a rip. I like the entire window wrap of the wagon tent but was unsure of construction, etc.

I'm 5'11" and sleep in my cruiser with the tailgate up, I battle the tailgate and the folded rear seat all evening... it is not comfortable. If I crash in the cruiser after a bonfire or something, I might not want to wake to the texas sunshine beating me in the face, this cover looks to provide complete window blocking. Also, I would prefer to leave some windows cracked to keep some air flow, no cover allows bugs to enter the cab... this cover would allow air flow but block the bugs. By sleeping in the truck, I have the radio, heat/air, aux power at my fingertips if needed...

Hope this answers some of your questions on what the use of it is, my intended application at least. :hillbilly:

yeah now that you mention it maybe the bug factor because i do like air flow too, but i guess we just sleep differently because i seem to have more room in the back of my 60 than i do in my tent! i just thought originally this thread was about a rack top tent and when i saw those pics i couldnt really understand the utility. thanks for the clarification.

Anybody find out if the 80 series SOR tent would fit the 60 series? Seems like it should be close.
