I beat the piss outta that thing.
I worked at a Dodge dealer when those things were new. The build quality is, um, well, something.

They are built to a price, not a specification 
Most of them that came into the dealer went straight to a hoist to fix whatever the factory didn't put together right.
We once had one come in with the steering column laying in the front seat. I guess the end of the line quality inspector was at a long lunch that day.

69 fj55x2 not anywhere near started
71 fj55 project on hold
85 Vw diesel (sounded like a good idea, but everything I touch on it snaps in half)
94 fz80 stalled
So... I'm looking for something slightly smaller than a complete car...

I'm upset enough with "Modern German Engineering" that if/when it leaves my house, it will go under is own power or sliced into small pieces in the bed of the pickup.
