Rusted FJ40 Tub - Sandblasted & Epoxy Coated, Sat For Years Now It Has Rust Again (1 Viewer)

Several years back I removed the body off the FJ40 frame, took it to the sandblaster to be blasted & epoxy primer coated. It sat uncovered & unpainted for a couple of years and tub has rust again. I would hate to pay for blasting/epoxy again, but do I have any other options to remove the rust? Basically, what would be the best & inexpensive way to get rid of the rust before epoxy and paint? Planning on doing the work myself.

Yes, tub sat uncovered for about a couple of years plus epoxy coat looked very thin

Blasting would probably be best since your going to want to remove all of the epoxy even where you cant see rust

A well done epoxy primer coat shouldn't be rusting from just sitting. I'm with Camo - blast and prime again.
