running boards

I would like to remove the running boards from a 2007 gx470. Are there pieces to replace them and finish the end of the fender flare with a flap like on a 100? Has any one done this ?

I have looked into this also. I'm told that no front flaps - like the ones available for an LX470 (not needed on the front of a Land Cruiser) - are available for a GX.......Doesnt make sense to me why

None available. You can trim the plastic to make it more flush, but that prevents future running board reattachment.
