Im not a welder so I don't know all the tricks. I clamped as much as possible but still have to deal with "shrinkage"
Long story short i am building a custom ac compressor mount as the vw one hits the motor mount and upper control arms.
I have the clearance near the width of a business card. Despite my best efforts getting it 100% dead on seems impossible. Due to the nature of imperfections in production and the existence of the gator back belt i know there is an acceptable amount of run out on serpentine pulley alignment.
This is the ac compressor so she sees some torque.
Does anyone have any idea of what the run out might be for this? Google left me scratching my head. The belt is on short side with the greatest distance from opposite ends of each pulley being 12.5 inches.
Thank you in advance.
