I wanted to give a hearty shout-out to Theo at Rugged Bound Supply co, the US distributors for Big Country products from SouthAfrica.
I ordered their Single Drawer and Fridge Platform for my GX470 and installed it last night. I’m very pleased with the quality, pricing, and utility of the drawer combo, and I can’t say enough about Theo’s attention to detail, and desire to help the customer. Very refreshing these days…
Anyway, install was simple once I clarified that 2 of the mounting holes in the US-based trucks are different than the true Prado 120 rigs.
After that, everything lined up nicely, with no drilling or cutting of my GX.
Like everything these days coming from overseas, shipping times are prolonged, but I’m satisfied with the process, and the great comm’s from Theo.
A few terrible pics, showing the single drawer and fridge platform, and my Iceco VL60 and slide.

Great setup.

Where did you get the slide? We may just copy you here. How is the setup working out for you?

Bought the slide from ICECO. It’s sized for my fridge…they have various sizes that might work for you even if you have another brand of fridge. Their website Is decent and with a bit of digging you can get the slide dimensions. They are robust and well-built. Nice sliding mechanism with 2 lockouts…one at full pull, and one at the halfway point.
Still really liking the drawer and setup…nice having my essentials (recovery gear, tools, compressor etc) in one dedicated area, without any clutter. The GX cargo area is so tall, you really don’t give much up by “elevating” your horizontal storage area (except for rear view…)

Thanks for the quick response. Yeah, I like the idea of having essentials in an easily accessible spot.

We're trying to mod in terms of fridge and air right now. I'm not a big fan of our portable... taking 30ish minutes to fill up each time just gets old after awhile. Right now I'm leaning towards Viair compressor and tank. The compressor will fit in the compartment Lexus built into the side panel on the left hand side. Win! and I'm almost positive the tank can fit under the trick somewhere perhaps with some sort of custom built mount.

searching for a good fridge is proving difficult - seems like no matter which one we look at there are various poor reviews. Like for yours people say it came with a defect and customer service basically didn't care.

I'm noticing your rear door and ceiling compartment what company made those compartments?

We also have IronMan FCP stage 2 :-). no rock sliders yet for us... But with the kind of runs we're doing we're thinking we better at least take off the running boards.

The rear hatch-door piece, and the cargo area roof “attic” are both made by Kaon, an Australian company.
They have some clever items, and are very well built. Their pricing is eye-opening, but realize they are charging in OZ $. Once converted, things are a bit better. Shipping is the wildcard, and can kill an otherwise fair deal. At least their shipping is very speedy.
If you carry your spare in a different location than the stock one, I wonder if an accumulator tank could be mounted there?
As for ICECO, I dont have enough info or experience to defend nor indict them. My fridge has always worked perfectly, held an accurate temp, and operated within spec. Because of this, I’ve not needed to work with their CS dept.
Have fun with that GX!
