I'd like to know too, as plans need to be made!

Chicago, those dates are for the jamboree. I would point you to wooody's comment to focus on the fathers day weekend unless snowfall or specific dates are posted.

Jamboree is later in the summer, that is the dates that Rubithon is scheduled per the Jamboree folks that keep a calender of all big events. Not trying to stir I'm just passing on rumors and gossip.

Happy February Tony!

Well we are half way into February and no Rubithon info yet? Perhaps that could be why attendance is down? Any way Placerville's Toy's On The Rocks club which have been commitee and hosts since the first Rubithon are not "burned out" as camp committee. Time to put the shifter in gear, and dump the clutch. Thank's in advance, John Pardi

2012 for Committee and Special guests = closed event

enough rumors and gossip.

For 2012, Rubithon is a closed event for committee and invitees only. The purpose of this years event will be specifically planning the 25th anniversary Rubithon in 2013.

If you are planning to attend this year, please do NOT! Set your sights on 2013 when we can bring you a fantastic and well planned event.

If you decide to come anyways, be aware there are no event related activities including trail support, meals, bar or raffle. Additionally, I have secured the Springs for my guests and planning purposes only.

I ask that you respect our desires and allow my committee folks, who have worked their jobs tirelessly for years, enjoy a casual trip and allow us to put the plans in action for what should be a phenomenal 25th anniversary event in 2013.

Invitations for 2012 Rubithon planning will be mailed out by end of February.

Additionally, expect new dates.

Thank you for your understanding and support of Rubithon and our committee volunteers.

Tony Twiddy
Rubithon Chairman

protesting here...I think that the last couple years were challenging with snow conditions but were still relatively well attended. I know that we on the medical committe do not work as tirelessly as many other members but we are nowhere near burned out (that is a good thing) I have heard a few sad grumblings about not having an event this year and would still love to see it happen. thanks for all of your hard work tony. we love you. -Chris

Keep us in the loop. I think there's going to be a sizable group from North Carolina that is setting our sites at going to next year's event...

Yes, I'm late as usual

While I am certainly behind schedule, I expect invitations for the 2012 planning trip to go out this week and next week.

Additionally, all CA local chapters can expect an invite to ensure I blanket the area for perspective 2013 volunteers.

Until then, be safe!

The 24th Annual Rubithon is complete and I am pleased to note that we are positioned for success next year with regards to conducting the 25th anniversary event.

I am also pleased to note that a Chairman succession plan has been created and next year will be my last year as Chairman as I will pass the role to Eric Agee, active TLCA member and Toys on the Rocks club member.

Joel Moranton will take over as raffle chair from Dave Thomas, and we have began putting feelers out for a new cook to take over in the next or two.

I want to personally thank my committee members for their time and input, the ideas generated were great and I truly believe that next years event will surpass all events to date.

All TLCA members: please make serious consideration to making 2013 the year you visit the Rubicon Trail, and attend this milestone event. Please do not wait till the week before to put your truck back together. :)

Thanks and be safe!

Tony

CDan and I are looking forward to coming and supporting the event....

Oh yeah, and wheeling, drinking beers, and wrenching. :)
