This is what happened at Erik's place this last weekend.
Big thanks to Kelly for helping with some tube and bender insight.

Very cool!

That's pretty sweet right there. I always thought this would be a good way to haul all the familys gear on a road trip. Then if you had an RTT on the rig and one on the trailer everybody could have there own quarters. Are you going to do anything else with the trailer, or just leave it open ?

Nice work!

I need to:
secure the top to the trailer vs the ratchet straps I hauled it home with.
I have some tube, and some quick release t-handles to do this.
then: use it.
then, decide if I want to skin the frame under the kayak with metal or a tarpolin,
and, maybe do gas struts/hinges....

I may eventually add a rear receiver hitch for a spare, or, put a drop down spare carrier underneath.
There are a couple different ways one could extend the tongue to make it back up easier.
One could add a front tray, or, trays in front of/behind the fenders to carry fuel/water/propane.

So. There's still stuffs that could get done.

how do you stabilize the trailer when it is detached from rig for RTT camping?

Yeah it will dump someone when they are in the trailer welding. Just sayin one would wake up pretty quick if that were to happen.

Looks like a great srart! Keep it going. I'm very intrested in how this comes out. I picked up a M-101, 3/4 ton end of May.
