I had a new clutch installed a couple of weeks ago, the tach looks like it is installed into the bell housing and checked the fueses everything looks fine but......it doesn't work.

how 'bout other wires?

There should be a big connector with 2 blades inside, that' ll need good connection with the female part of the connector. Those wires would go back to your gauge cluster. One blade is ground. If for some reason the ground was bad it wouldn't work. Same goes for the sensor as well. It's a magnetic pick-up that senses the teeth going by.
I recently installed one into my 40 series 3B.

Did the tacho work before your recent clutch install? If it did the people who changed your clutch probably just dropped the box without disconnecting the tacho sensor and you may have a broken wire/s. Its happened to quite a few people around here and the recent clutch install gives the game away.
