Hey Everyone,

Like most of you already know I got a 62 for a mud member over two years ago. I have been looking at this truck parked for that long waiting for the right time to get started on it. Of course the time it never the right time so I started it either way.

My goal is to install a H55, 2.5" lift, tires and Lockers. The body is in perfect condition other that one rust spot that I will take care when the mechanical part is done. Paint is bad, that will be taken care later on.

I will load some pictures. as right now the truck has already installed the Clutch pedal, the front lift, wheels and tires. The split case is down and the h55 is going to be put together this afternoon.

Grammar police please send me your correction in Spanish for me to understand.
:cheers::beer:

Sweet.... so is this build for a member? or for yourself?
Either way looks to be a fun one. Its like the second YETI to roam charlotte...... and we still dont have proof :D

Sure you don't want to skip all that work and just sell me the body?

The build is for me. I leave the custumers for the masters like Stan and Darrin. I just like to get myself in project that i may not be able to handle. I hope i can tackle it before the relics run.

It will be nice. I thought about you when i saw that rusty bucket for sale in huntersville for $1900.

Gee thanks. I have looked at quite a few rusty 62s. I can wait for the one I want.

Is the transmission out or I literally have to take it from under the truck?

Man, I feel your pain pulling that A440 out. Terry and I did the A440 replacement in his FJ62 and holy crap was it a pain. That's a huge transmission!

When do you need your answer about the split case by? I can pull the one I've got apart as soon as tomorrow if you need an answer quick.

@beno answered the question this morning. That ring does not go back in there. Thanks for your help.

Tranny and splitcase are together. Bellhousing is installed and fly wheel will be next. I was going to fix some oil leaks but the engine will be swap on a later day. Just dont want to do it now. I hope to have it done by the weekend.

Edit: it is not goint to happen by the weekend. :-(

Which clutch fork did you try to use?

Which onboard compressors are you talking about? Go with whichever one puts out more air (CFM) at higher pressure.

The clutch fork i need is the 86 or 88 it has no hole on the end. The guy i bought it from send me the wrong one.

For the compressor i think i am getting the one with the thank from 4wp. It is $350. I was going thr the arb but the price difference is two much

Gotcha. You then have an early 60 clutch fork that is designed to interface with the early style adjustable slave cylinder. If you purchased a slave cylinder for an 81-84 FJ60 I bet your current clutch fork would work just fine.
