Friggin' A, i can't believe it. Yesterday i decided to remove the rear drive shaft, regrease the splines and u-joints then re-install. While doing so i happened to glance at my transfer case. The OE skid plate had been smashed up onto the Tcase and was making contact with it. So i pulled it down and away from the Tcase. Now no more vibrations during idle. Such an easy fix, just finding it was the hard part.

Alex--

Spend the cash and get the Slee xfer case skid plate--it's beefy as hell and worth it if you ask me...

Or, I guess, you could fab up one of your own...that OE one is really flimsy.

Best.

I have been thinking about one or the other. May spend the $$ and get one from slee for all the questions and help his crew has given me in the past.

You talking about the factory TRANNY skid plate? I don't think there is one on the center differential from the factory, is there?

Pretty sure they do doug. Thanks for your help earlier, by the way.

I do believe that it is the Transfer Case skid plat as concrete originally pointed out.
The Slee skid plate is nice. I've had my truck high centered and teetering on the Slee skid plate a few times. Well worth the extra money.

It's a good day.
