I might try O'rielly's or Car Quest. I originally bought 5/32" from Autozone, but it has proved to be too loose and I'm loosing vacuum somewhere/everywhere.

Thanks for the heads up

Yeah. 5/32" is nearly 4mm... I got some vacuum caps in yesterday for disabling the EGR circuit that were 1/8" and they fit great. I'd go for 1/8" line.

5/32" - 0.15625" - 3.969mm
1/8" - 0.125" - 3.175mm

Aaron, are you "dosmogging" it? If so, will it pull a full time CEL with no EGR or emissions stuff? If not, I'd be interested in doing the same.:hmm:

I don't know.

I have had a very intermittent CEL since I bought the truck, but haven't really paid much attention to it, or checked to see what the code is. It goes on and off while I drive, usually goes off when I coast and on when I give it some gas... It doesn't really bother me; I have bigger fish to fry. I'm desmogging to hopefully improving the fuel economy.

I plugged all the lines to the EGR last night, and drove around for a bit, and it didn't see any difference in my CEL. Went on and off like it normally does. :steer:

Ill be interested to see how it goes. In the mean time, I just bought some 1/8" vacuum line from CarQuest and it seems to fit properly. I'm gonna change the lines tonight and hopefully smooth out my idle a little. Its not horrible, but just enough to make my OCD trigger! :)

Problem solved....

I ended up getting 1/8" vacuum tubing from CarQuest and installed it this afternoon. No more vacuum leaks and the truck is idling smoothly again!!

I did find one area where I had swapped a line with another line and that could have contributed to the rough idle, but either way...its all sealed up and working properly now.
