Rough cold running

I have a 1989 FJ-62. Over the past few months when I start it in the morning, it runs very rough and wants to stall. In the afternoon, when its hot outside, this problem is not as pronounced. Any suggestoins on where to start troubleshooting this problem. As always, thanks for the help or advice.
