I'm certain all of the 80-section regulars know Kurt by now but for the lurkers and those new to this section you should know that Kurt has the absolute BEST sense of humor of anyone that I know.... and though we've never met, I feel that I know Kurt and I like him.... a lot. If everyone had as much fun in life as he does then we would all be a lot better off.

I did some time in Casper, Wyoming. (intentional choice of words) I usually tell people that it was 3 winters because each winter in Wyoming was one I'll never forget. The wind blows and it gets cold.... even a guy from Wisconsin will consider the Wyoming winters as cold. Casper to Albuquerque is about 800 miles so I guess that's close; we're next door neighbors not counting Colorado.

Next time you come through Albuquerque just catch me on channel one-niner. I'll be listening for you.

Kurt- I have some Qs:

1. "230854 9/30/2003 Dexcool new radiator hoses"- was this PM or due to a leak? What condition were the hoses in at this mileage and do you think they had been replaced before or did they look original?

2. Did your old water pump fail or was it just PM to replace it?
 
THe hoses were good shape but I PM'ed them. I don't think they were orignial as there is an aftermarket radiator on the vehicle.
I PM'ed the water pump, it was not leaking. I assume it was orignial.
I now have Toyota Red coolant in it.

Update: on my update ;)

I put on 4000 to 5000 mi almost trouble free miles last week with the 62.
The rusted and plugged breather for the rear diff blew in IA and made a big mess.
When the tranny was very berry ho,t for the hot day last week, the tranny would slip after I stopped and gassed up. I quick drain and fill solved that problem.

Anyhow. I did get a job in Rifle CO.
I got a job with Speedy Heavy Haul.
I found some pic's from Ron, I havent met him yet I start next week but the pics are of the trucks I will be trained to drive.
The trucks haul oil (they are drilling for natural gas big time right now in the west) drilling rigs from job site to job site up and down the mountian.
Looks like fun :eek:
 
That does look like fun. should be a lot less monotonous than OTR,
