Carnage BV looks Nasty:) we are going to walk it, maybe run it on Labor Day

I have some plans brewing for the wintertime to update and take care of a few issues i'm having.

Cant wait to see what ya do!

are you using your passenger's torso as a slider in those pics, ha ha malphrus

Ha yeah, Well the seats I have rock at keeping you in them. Steph is an awsome passenger she just sat there giggling with her hands on the seat belt as I proceeded to dump it on both sides.

Trevor, BV isn't as bad as they act like it is on Colo4x4. The only thing that really stands out is the v-notch, which is WAY harder this year, everything eles isn't really that bad, some spots will get you hung up but with a winch and not caring about body damage no worries, just don't break! The exit is actually easier this year. I say that the trail as a whole has surpassed patriot in difficulty however.

Thanks Chris, i try to use it!

In case anyone was curious how the last case failed, I finally was able to extract photos from my camera.

Do you think your front shaft was a tad too long?

I wonder if anyone ever made some sort of halo that mounted above the front cone flange and tied to a case saver

sweet rig, thanks for the write-up

Compression of the shaft is not the issue, it is square tube and has 10-12" of compression. It is however too strong...

Thanks for the pics TJ!

Course splined pinion & the most brittle early tcase w/ vacuum shift & yer suprised this failed or were you just posting up trophy pics? :D Were you runnin one of those cheapy top plate "savers" I've seen dozens of folks fabbin up? I noticed it cracked at the bottom....... Never been a fan of the MT front cage design, but other than that yer rig is lookin :smokin:
I see you did the same wheelstand on Hells Gate as I've done. Come to think of it, most pics I've seen on that trail - everyone does that

Not surprised, just posting pictures. The way the t-case failed is strange, different than another I have seen. I have broken 3 t-cases and 2 pinions to date. Both those problem areas our being taken care of as we speak.

I kinda wish I would have done something different with my cage but I was given the front pillars so I rock what I got, (X2 when I was in college), its very safe and the cage looks good visually as a whole, I have bigger fish to fry in the mean time

Edit: that t-case was actually a 78 model with 3 speed gears. The vacuum was used, cause that is always what I have used, I liked the vacuum activated 4WD, shifts smooth on the go.

Thats not Hells gate, it is the escalator, hells gate is pretty lame in comparison, both fun though. I missed the line the first go around, oops

Sweet story. I wonder what your Dad and brother think about your cruiser now?

I dig it, especially the history behind it.

Thanks guys, my bro and my pops both love to come wheel with me, my brother is actually in the passenger seat in a few of those pictures.

Since this was brought back up, few new wheeling pics?
