Here is my rig
this is my second 40 series. i picked her up from a now friend who lived 2 blocks from my house. this bj42 did not move for about 2 years and we put in 2 batteries and hit the key and it was golden. drove it back the 2 blocks, did an oil change and went crusin. afterwards i installed the lift springgs from the po with greasable pins, new tie rods, terraflex shackles (not sure if they do anything) new shocks and some 31 from the po.

After the lift and such it was time for some body and over due mechanical. all the hoses, glow plugs, batteries, rad rebuilt twice, lottsa black paint, new running boards, oils, some new interior stuff like visor crap etc was done and more crap. the whole reason was the wife not wanting to ride around in a pile of junk. i like my cruiser either way but have seen nicer rigs being parted out. did body repairs with new 16 gauge metal and a mix of welding and riveting as a tub is still a little pricey. Hood, bib, bezel, side aprons and all things black are powder coated the wife was amazed as well. the rest is new fenders in black line-x and a blue body in line-x as well. hides the good from 10 feet body work and cleans up good in the mud.

some shots from mclean creek our close to calgary ohv area that is far to used and abused. the middle shot is actually a rut created from traffic use. the last is my buddy bob's recon unit (quad) swamped so he had to cruise a bit in style.

Great ROTM!

Show's that not every cruiser has to be meticulously restored and over-the-top perfect from the frame up to have a great time.

Looks like you have got your money's worth for sure!

Cruisers and mud, what a combination !! Glad to see you use it as it was intended for !! That sure is purdy country up there as well. Good mods, good write-up and Happy Trails:cheers:

Nice resurrection. However, I have heard bad (unsafe) things about the Terra-Flex. You may want to do a little research. I have no experience with them.

Thanks for looking and the kind words.

i do love my part of the world and that is what this cruiser was done for was to explore and enjoy it. definataly got my money worth and everyone that goes for a rip in it enjoys themselves as well.

Dallas fj40 i have heard from here on mud about these revolver shackles. in a thread a bit ago was discussed them failing. when i recieved them from terraflex they had Grade 5 Bolts in them and i put in Grade 8 as that is what i know as being stronger. Someone here had said about them Unloading??? and failing. i have no idea what is meant by that.

awesome ROTW and transformation, you did a great job

really nice area..man i am jealous
