So I put new bearings and rotors on a 1000 miles ago and one of the bolts came out. I torqued them but I had put in new lug bolts as well so I think this is why this happened. So I think once the wheels were put on the lug nut pulled out a little further and that is why the bolts came loose as there was a small gap between the hub and rotor. So one bolt came out entirely and the other ones were loose enough to remove with my fingers. See the pics for the damage. I'm lucky this is all it did. So I was driving locally and I heard a clunk in the front end and it would bind up. I drove it less than a mile but I didn't dare drive it anymore and had it towed. I thought for sure it was the dreaded front diff as mine is a 98. When it was put on a lift you could hear something rattling around the wheel and it would occasionally bind up. I'm super lucky the abs sensor did get torn up. I then torn down the passenger side and all 5 were loose and I loosened them with my fingers. Don't make the mistake I did make sure the are cranked down as well as loctited

This just happened to me as well. I'm in the process of pulling off the wheel. Really annoying. I know I torqued them to spec. I guess I'm going to locktite them. Annoying the manual didn't call for that in the first place...

Looks like you might need to order one of these:
SEAL, DUST(FOR FRONT AXLE HUB LH); SEAL, DUST(FOR FRONT AXLE HUB LH/RH)Part Number: 90313-99001 ($45.05)

This was an old thread I resurrected. Mine fared much better as I heard it right as I turned onto my street. The outer rim of the seal is burred, but the seal is intact, so I'm going to run it. There is the slightest of dents in the circumference of the seal so I'm going to try and straighten that out.

OK so these bolts are marked 11, which is equivalent to 11T per the Toyota bolt chart but I can't figure out what 11T is equivalent in metric chart? 8.8, 10.9, 12.9? Shop only had 8.8 to replace the two that got gouged but I'm concerned about strength here...

Thanks,
Phil
