Hi, just joined here. After 7 years without a LC (had a FJ40'66 and FJ70'87 before) and out of the offroad life, just acquired a LC200 2012. Have to start preparing it a bit and among other things need to buy a roof rack (got the original rails in the roof). I am in Peru so no many tyres options in 18", as we have all from desert to jungle and highlands, basically need ones good in sand, roads with stones, and at same time not super noisy in the highway.
Any tip about changes on suspension and lift?
Tks for helping!

I'm betting ARB makes a rack, but it won't be cheap. As for suspention, Old man Emu is a good way to go or you can check with Radflo for nice coilovers.

Take a look at BajaRack also, their MegaMule model mounts direct to factory rack. You can see how it looks in my photo album under my profile for pictures.

FrontRunner makes a very nice rack as well ... it is on my list ...

Thanks a lot. The MegaMule looks very well. If possible, could I ask you to send me a couple of close pictures of the rack and how it gets fixed to the factory rack?

Btw, did you lift your 200 and if yes which lift package/brand was it? Last one: whic tyres are you using?

I am also looking at replacing the dunlop from factory which would only work in sand and highway but not more in Peru....

tks again and sorry for all the questions but want to have it ready to follow the dakar early next year...

tks a lot! looks very good. wil check if not too complicated to order it to lima

AG,
By any chance do you know the height of your 200 after the 2" lift and 33" tyres until the factory roof rails and after the highest point of the baja roof rack?
If you know it would be great
Tks a lot! will send pictures when it is ready
