rodeo/passport questions?

I bought a 95 passport a while back and i am looking for some info about the drive train and some good parts sources. I have surfed around the net and have not found much, I really don't have the patience for it:eek:... I am going to be transforming this truck into my next trail rig.

I have always liked the style and stance of the rodeo/passport. I think it will make a great looking rig when finished. The plans are; swamping in a straight axle front end, improving or a swap for the rear end, lockers, body armor, and the 36 38 inch range for tires.

thanks to all

I just made my way over from the 80 series section, which is the replacement for my trusty '93 Rodeo.

The Rodeo came with the factory big tire package. This included 31x10.50x15 tires, alloy rims, and for what you're asking about, a Dana 44 rear axle with a LSD diff. You'll want to look for that axle for a relatively easy upgrade. It was a great trail rig and I did many trails in Colorado with it in stock form.

My guess is that 36" and up tires are a bit ambitious, simply because clearance around the rear door is going to be a limiting issue. GL!

PM to get my attention on something Isuzu.

I love these trucks

Call boggs's auto parts on stone house road in Caldwell WV .They may have some junk laying around.

Independent 4x ( Independent4x.com ) makes/stocks a lot of Isuzu stuff.

Also, Jerry Lemond (here in the Atlanta area) has a lot of parts. You can find him over on Planet Isuzu if you look around a little. He's not hard to find.

had a 95 passport i was going to build... but once i spent some time underneath it, the is just to far gone...
Thanks for the info and links...
i really liked the truck, but i went back to my first love, Landcruisers, wagons specifically... Just picked up the first of 2 fj60's the other day...
