I don't have a lift so I'd prefer rails since I think the sliders give me a lower looking profile. Do rails provide the same strength and quality as sliders?
BudBuilt's do. They are constructed the same way our rock and step sliders are, as far as strength goes. They just have some dimensional changes to the main tube and drop the outer tube design. So these stick out as far as possible without catching your foot when stepping in. They provide bottoming out protection the same a rock sliders (think desert overlanding or global backroad travel), but if you play around trees or large boulders, these are not going to provide that "stick out far enough to stop bad things" protection that rock sliders or step sliders provide.I don't have a lift so I'd prefer rails since I think the sliders give me a lower looking profile. That’s why I’m so adamant about really finding the faults in products. There just isn’t one “perfect item.” That includes everything we make, here’s why. We can try and get close, refine the product over and over. But at the end of the day, a driver’s personality with what they want to do with their vehicle will decide what was THEIR best product.I never thought of that aspect. I was only thinking of bottoming out protection. Trees aren't so much a concern in the desert but boulders certainly are.

All I want to do is make the most sound X. Now weather X is what someone needs is up for debate. Example, I feel we make the best sliders and skid plates. Now does everyone need sliders and skid plates? No. So why waste someone’s money? So that’s why I like to say all the things that products won’t do.
