Prior to the swap I did a voltage reading with the car idling.
I’ve had an Odyssey sitting to be installed, mainly because I hadn’t researched to see if I really needed a diode or not. Seems simple, but stupid question… why did you install it if your stock output was at 14.1 and they said 14.0 was acceptable?
 
AGM Charge voltage is higher than lead acid to actually get it to charge all the way...14.34v at about 104 degrees...which in the engine bay is fair number for temps...

Right, i'm aware. I'm just curious why we think it needs a diode after the Odessey guy said "14.0-14.7 is acceptable"?
 
I'd have to have the OP answer that... it not something I have done, nor am planning to.
