Do you have an FJ60 with 2F engine and looking to add the benefits of a Holley SNIPER EFI system? The FJ60 Red Line Firewall Throttle Cable Adapter Bracket is now available for 1980 – 1987 60-Series Toyota Land Cruisers. The Firewall Throttle Cable Bracket is made from stainless steel and locates the throttle cable clevis at the firewall and bolts directly to the firewall using the existing OEM factory hardware. Just what I was looking for. I just placed an order. Was going to build my own bracket but this saves me a day of cutting and welding.

Ditto, super stoked I found this as the interwebs seem light on how to get the Lokar cable attached to the throttle pedal. I didn't want to do a bodge job or put any additional holes in the the firewall. When you ran the cable to the Sniper, did you have the mount there on the front or rear of the Sniper? Pictures would be most welcome if you have them.

I installed a TBI system but I would guess the throttle is similar. Since the TBI is a GM product I built a bracket that attached to the intake manifold and used a stock GM throttle cable. The bracket is slotted for cable adjustment. So far it has worked really well.

the RedLine one at post # 1 is a Super Savoy well thought out niche parts kit to incorporate , i installed on a while back to correct a SNIPER KIT that had a jerry rigged pedal to sniper accelerator cable set up that was simply not safe

i don's typically get involved with aftermarket parts topics like this ............typically

the RedLine part was the text book fix i was comfortable handing back to my shop client ...

Yes, I'll have my redline bracket tomorrow. Looks to be the most sano solution to this problem and I get to keep everything inside under the dash untouched.

One more quick, unrelated question, the vacuum line you have coming off below the throttle body you have going to what? PCV? Thanks.

What caught my eye other then the REDLINE in-house niche store brand design part

Was the single-fact it still incorporates the OEM ( USA-Spec. Only SAE Safety Oarnge )
factory gas pedal boot …..

that’s a huge detail not to overlook because the #2 way Mice 🐁 and other little S.O.B. ‘s get into older toyota vehicles is via the gas pedal fire wall opening …

The #1 way is the air intake system …

If they make it past the ( squirrel 🐿️ cage ) fan all the way into the crowl duct work your screwed …

They chew on wiring for a reason …

Then the she-mouse unleashes a pile of little ones …

Her or one of the babies always finds the blades of the fan and gets walking-dead’d instantly , that no stack of Vanilla-Roma trees will hide 😶‍🌫️ summer-time road kill oder ….🤮

Just received my bracket and will install this evening. One point of note, the brackets are no longer made from stainless steel :(...

How did your install go? I'm having trouble with mine because there is a heat shield there. It looks like they removed the heat shield in the pictures from Redline, but was wondering if anyone was able to install it keeping the shield as it is protecting the firewall/cab from the exhaust.

I was able to retain all the heat shields with no issues. I had to bend the shield slightly at the top but otherwise it went on fine. Let me know if this picture helps.

Please show everyone several photos of your heat shield / part interference issue ?

im sure the good folks @ Red Line will provide you the correct FSM-Level tech. reply here ....

i really like this kustom-sniper install kit-form-kit they created , because you retain your OEM :

I did end up calling RedLine and they were really responsive and helpful. They did say I could take off the heat shield and it won't cause any issues. However, since it is in good shape, no rust, etc. I decided to go another route. I thought about cutting out a section of it, so the black bracket would fit, but instead I decided to take out the bolt that comes through the other side at the steering column and replace it with another one that is about an inch longer. I haven't put it on yet, but I think this should solve the issue, while still keeping the heatshield in place. I'll report back if it doesn't work.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this but the content overload on the website made me nervous.

Fj60 2F going to a sniper 2gc with the mosley mounting bracket. I see most of these are the 2300 sniper.

I think I just need the bracket and the 24* inch throttle cable solution for my setup. Can anyone confirm that?

Yes, that should cover your needs. Use the above photos for installation reference.

Cheers, James
