Looking for spare set of 16" steelies for my BJ75, I've found some 2015 Tacoma's with 245/75/16 winter tires. Would these fit right or are they too narrow because of the offset. I know the tires are smaller but I just want the rims if they fit. I presently have 16x7 1/2(came with the truck, I'll post pic later) with 265/75/16. Can I put 265/75/16 on the mentioned rims. What other make of vehicles rims that fit our 70's is the question.

60 series are a good fit

These are what I have and this is what I'm looking at, I'll check the rim depth if the same as mine(3 1/4")

This is my spare at the moment. 16x7 Tacoma steely on 255/85r16 km2.
you will need a wheel spacer up front.

Do you happen to know the spacer size? Clean looking wheel skirts :)

just some examples with a 4" backspacing in a 16"wheel.

I've ran the Tundra Spare steelies on a few Troopies, but you will need a bolt on spacer or it will rub frame on tight turns.

What size spacers have you used? And on the front and rear or just the front?

Isn’t the fitment issue with these rims clearance of the TREs and caliper up front?

Make sense now, I'll keep looking for a better fit rim in the mean time.

On those it's been frame mainly. Usually the issue is tie rod actually. Most Wheel Vintique steel wheels demand a 5mm spacer to clear the tie rod, as do Fifteen52 Analog wheels. But for those tundra steelies, it doesn't hit caliper or tie rod but rather the frame on full lock. A 1.5" spacer fixes this, and looks better in my opinion.

here in venezuela we isntall the fzj80 steel wheels on the 70 series BUT need to install a 1.25 no centered spacer ( becouse we have full foating axle) ... the spacer, can find it on ebay or G2 axle... sell it... you need between 3 to 4 inch of back spacing to clear chasis at the rear when articulation ocurr or tie rod on front

Yes indeed. I run my “wheeling” tires on a set of 42601-60361 rims. :)

So it's these that I have, found the pics from a 2008 80's thread. Now I got some numbers to work with 👍

When you want to stay with 16" steel and no spacers, your options are very very limited (esp if you want to stick with unmodified Toyota OEM wheels).

Nothing wrong with the 42601-60262-03 (which are 16X6 I belive, not 16X7 as stated earlier in this thread) unless you have flares then it looks kinda funny IMHO. I tried this and didn't like the look.

Yup 3.65” of BS on a 60. If it fits a 60 it will fit a 70.

Cheers

All bad news for the canucks, all their BJ/HJ/60 and FJ62 had 15 inch rims
