I know others have done it but wanted to post up a specific thread for it. I have the same setup on a 2016 GX460 and wanted a compatible system on my 2013 LX570 for my roof top tent and kayaks. Super easy install and quiet.

It seems you guys used different mounting points for your bars. @eatSleepWoof is there a reason your using both of the 2 middle mounts instead of the front? The pads from rhino specify front, middle and rear. Are you using the front pads on the second middle mount? Any water issues?

The three locations in my photo are the ones Rhino Rack expects you to use.

See this page, TOYOTA LandCruiser 200 Series 5dr 4WD 07 to 21 | Roof Racks & Accessories | Rhino-Rack AU - https://www.rhinorack.com/en-au/fit-my-car/results/594/toyota-land-cruiser-200-series-4dr-4wd-11-07-on, specifically these images:

The very front mounting point that you're referring to, in front of/over the sunroof, seems to be quite a bit lower than the other ones, and I suspect that if you install the Rhino Rack mounting pads, feet and cross bar there, it won't sit level with the other cross bars. You might also get more wind noise and/or sunroof interference.

Water ingress won't be affected by the locations you use, as the pads themselves don't provide any waterproofing - that's done by whatever sealant you use around the mounting bolt holes.

I agree, in those photos there is no doubt about it. I was looking at some of the install documentation that left me questioning things. @bigezvol feel free to chime in. I need some wide bars and only 2. Rhino rack rates 2 bars at 220 pounds, and my load is about 155. Since there is not center bar in my use case, perfectly level does not seem super important. What do you think?
The front mount looks to be shaped close enough that the pad for the front mid mount will work. Can you guys that have this rack take a look at my parts list and tell me if this will work? I contacted etrailer but it was a waste of time.

https://www.etrailer.com/p-RRRCP17-BK.html This only comes as a 6 pad set.

Yes, those parts are correct.

You're right, with only two bars, having them level isn't strictly necessary.
