Let me start off by saying that I'm not at all affiliated with this company. I bought my winch over a year ago "e9000" and installed it into my 95 land cruiser. I have only used it once and it has been through a rough winter here in the northwest. Two weeks ago went to go help my neighbor pull out a big stump. After I pulled out a bunch of line I hooked up my control and all it did was click when I would hit the button. After some inspection I found that a solenoid went bad but also saw that my clutch handle was rusted and a saw a bend in my line. So that's all of the backstory.

I checked out my warranty and it said that I was only covered for one year on electrical!! I called them, btw their office is in Washington, and spoke to one of the guys in the shop. The next day they shipped me a brand new steel line, new solenoid box and an entire gear side of the winch because the handle had surface rust on it. The electrical was out of warranty but they still did it, and instead of just giving me a solenoid and having me rewire it, they gave me the whole box! Also they included some hand written instructions on how to time the gears and helped me over the phone with clocking the winch.

I was a little disappointed that the winch didn't work, but things happen and it was great to see that the company completely backed me. Now I basically have a new winch! Sorry it's so long, but I just wanted everyone to know. Good luck to all!

It's nice to hear that some companys still care about customer service, if I ever need another winch I will consider Engo.

Yeah, to be totally honest, I was not expecting the level of customer service I received. I was very impressed to say the least

My engo started going "clunk" about a month ago. Finally called the factory and they were very helpful. Turns out the brake has malfunctioned. Parts should beon the way soon. Here are some pics of the failed part. And the gear reduction unit. I'm actually impressed at the build quality of the reduction unit. Lots of the cheaper winches have stamped steel planateries..

I've also heard very good things on customer service. A buddy blew up his winch (his fault) and they provided all replacement parts free of charge. Aplause is clearly earned.

Mine went back together perfectly and worked admirably winching a 62 scout 80 on to my trailer with siezed brake drums :D

I've been very happy with Engo's customer service. We do sell them (disclaimer) but will drop companies that don't service customers well. Engo is a go.
