Hello all! I’m in need of some examples of brighter reverse/scene lighting for a 200. My thought was to install a pair of Baja Designs S2 work/scene lights onto my Front Runner roof rack and wire it to a switch. Has anyone done something like this? My concern is that the reverse lighting may be up too high to be very useful. If you’ve done this, can you post some pictures? Not a wiring genius so I’d love to know how you wired it as well. Many thanks all!

I mounted Baja Designs Squadron Pro lights in a RLC rear bumper. Wiring was facilitated by using reverse circuit of trailer pigtail. Plenty of light.

I'm looking at using a Vision X mounted to my tire carrier as a reverse light. I'd like to wire it in with t stock reverse lights. Shouldn't I be able to just wire this light into the existing lights? The AMP draw in very low.

Seems easily doable. I already run a switch-pros, so I ran my auxiliary reverse lights (prior 200) and dust lights (current 200) off that. It could just as easy be wired to a switch. Depending on the light, you'd need to figure out the draw/wire size, fusing, whether you want a relay, etc. I ran 16 gauge tinned sheathed marine wire through the interior along the door channels, behind the cargo trim, and to the lights. I figure if marine components is good enough for harsh marine environments, they're probably fine/overkill for a vehicle. My reverse lights were in the bumper reflectors that I modified to fit the diffused LED lights, and the dust lights are Rigids that I installed in the spoiler. I'm not a fan of just splicing into existing lighting circuits to power new lights, but some people do stuff like that.
